Its not about rich or poor. Its about focus and need. Early in the product/company building stage you need to be doing lot of development (assuming you are a tech co-founder), but as company grow, most likely your profile is going to grow a

you will have better chance of finding lot of good advise and potentially a good adviser if you share more about what are you building. You dont have to share secret sauce, but at least an overview. "Media" is too broad
