When coding I usually only listen to music if it's an album that I have listened to at least 5+ times. This works for me in that my brain seems to know exactly what parts/songs are coming next and they are no surprises/distractions. Mixes a

Interesting magazine to be writing about Anonymous. I sometimes feel that the magazine itself is a LOIC for the global banking system. It's possibly one of many publications (nodes) that publishes (DDOS) anonymous writings that seem to usua

Get ready to play some PopIt. Actually, I've never heard of this game before. But now that it's shipping with chrome I can play it all the time at work.

This could be a great opportunity for some US hosting provider to step in and show that it can be counted on to have a backbone and take a stand in regards to seemingly unjust takedowns like this. Maybe if a smaller company could scale to t

The author has a serious chip on his shoulder. Lots of politicking in this article that distract from the point being made. Take a look at what the market thinks of the chances for a California default. http://www.economist.com/blogs/daily

I suppose index funds are fine if you can time buys/sells with the booms and busts. These days I sure don't feel like holding them. It's sad but the best bet is just picking the hot algo stocks.

The federal reserve has everybody speculating with %0 interest rates. I suggest they raise interest rates! This will be a good thing as it will encourage capital formation.

In the big picture view it seems that HFT is becoming a crowded trade. I would think the competition would be a huge challenge. Maybe you should try to start off in foreign markets where there is some breathing room - if that's possible. He

The best page-turner C# book I have ever read is "C# 4.0 in a Nutshell." This book comes from the guys who developed the awesome LINQPad. The book is filled with awesome nuggets and examples that were totally new to me. A lot of .NET books

As you hand out more free money you just cheapen the money in everyone's pocket and make them poorer. The 20k you just gave away won't even buy the amount of goods it would have before you created the program. This is just some redistributi
