Not true. Granted, court rulings are more important in the US, but Dutch judges will definitely take old cases into consideration. Take a look here for a short explanation: http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jurisprudentie (Dutch link, I'm sorr

Love it, but I see 1 problem: when I see something on Facebook like: "I just bought Product X and unlocked a 10% discount for YOU", I presume it's spam. Copywriting is going to be very, very important to this.

A mock-up was linked on HN a few days ago, it was quite close to the real thing. I still think non 3d-logo's look really ugly on the OSX Dock. (another example: Handbrake.) Ah well, replacing the icon is easy anyway.

If there are any Twitter API developers looking for a Nobel Prize-worthy challenge, now would be the time to devise an app that could bring the two factions together in a state of semi-contentedness. I guess that's an app which Twitter wo

Small scale: get out of bed earlier. It might sound as a weird goal, but it really does make me feel good when I get out of bed at 6 instead of 7 (I leave for work at 8.) Taking time for breakfast/slow start of the day is amazing. Big scale

Just to clarify, those aren't my goals, I'll be writing those down soon. They're just randoms. EDIT: and what you say about clear goals is very true.

On the hand one I love this. On the other hand, this means it's going to be harder for a startup scene to take off in any European city.

There are quite a few bible apps out there already. Most popular one is just called Bible I believe, it's free. There's a couple of very high quality ones as well. Know less about the other 2 options, but I imagine there's different options

Reminds me of this Dutch guy on youtube, who'd pretend to hack all kinds of stuff. Quite funny, but clearly fake. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zcmmFQGxMNU (subtitled)

Amazon´s bar has ruined the Internet for the rest of businesses. Now if you have to make one click too many or wait a minute there's going to be a blog post about it. Oh no! The Internet is getting better, more user-friendly! It's terribl

I can't really agree with this article. I moved from the Netherlands to the UK, and I was surprised to notice that any Brit who you've met before at least once will give you a hug the next time they meet you. In the Netherlands hugs are res

The way you mention finding a technical cofounder sounds an awful lot like finding someone to do all the work for you. That's exactly what I'm afraid of: I don't want to have someone doing all the work for me. It's my idea, I want to ta

If the market was completely transparent, that would be the case, but that's not how it is. For example Yfrog: it looks absolutely terrible, but still it's very popular. If I made Twitter I wouldn't be happy about that. A new normal Twitter

I don't understand why people are so upset about this. It's simple: Twitter Inc. doesn't like apps which are the same as Twitter, or worse. (I don't mean to say that Twitter is bad already: just that Twitter Inc. doesn't like 1. apps recrea
