You've raised an important point here: the 'human vs self-driving car' is something of a false dichotomy. The human driving experience will become more and more augmented by technology, with auto-braking, lane-assist, smart c

It would be cool if you could expand on this. Do you live in one of these places? I'm also wondering when there's going to be a sea change. London is full of people in their 20s spending ~50% of their income on rent, and pretty mu

I don't think I've ever faced any direct age discrimination, I'm just aware that there's no reason why anyone would hire me when they can have an enthusiastic 22 year old who's fresh out of uni.

I'm a programmer who doesn't really get to program. I work for a consulting company. Most development work is off-shored, which means most roles for UK staff are more client facing. Right now I'm building a web front end for

I think you're right, and it's something I've only started to realise very recently having lived in the UK my whole life (a culture is hard to understand when you've only ever experienced the world from inside it).

Startups have got so weird that I can't figure out whether this is a real thing or just a promotional piece for a digital agency. I wonder if there is some potential in the "drone delivery as a novelty" concept though?
