Interesting... But I don't think formal software verification is going to be the answer (is that what this is? Kind of unclear.) It's too difficult and doesn't scale well to many real world programs - how do you formally veri

I once had an interview at PA consulting where they asked one of those questions where they have "the answer" but their question isn't well specified enough to lead to that unique answer. They kept adding conditions, but I ha

Yeah maybe. I dunno though, I'm using it in obscure SystemVerilog stuff. AI used to absolutely suck at that very recently but now it seems to have no problem. I think the key is that you give it all of the info - put all the docs, the

That's last gen though. I agree it's mediocre. Try Astra. It's significantly better than Opus and even Fable. I'm not sure about earlier OpenAI models. I also thought we had time.

Yeah enjoy it while it lasts. This is basically where LLMs were with coding a year or two ago. Give it a couple more years...

Yeah definitely Claude. Lazy authors, if you're going to get AI to write for you please use Astra instead - it makes way less annoying prose than Claude.

Yeah you'd think they could use some kind of exponential back-off type algorithm for apps that have been successfully reviewed many times... :-D

In fairness is that really a bug? All apps are deliberately limited to a couple of GB on Android (depending on how much total RAM you have). It would be pretty annoying if a random website can just DoS your phone by using all your RAM.

Right but... You've used gift cards before right? The whole point is that you can't convert them to cash. Not only that but Google/Apple gift cards are notorious for being used in fraud. I guess if you're young...

How did you "accidentally" do something that was so obviously not allowed?

Yeah precisely. If you tell an agent "get me some milk" it's no comfort if it says "oh well I wouldn't have stolen the milk if you had explicitly told me not to". This article is dumb.

Nah I think modern architecture is popular among many architects and unpopular with almost all of the public for the same reason modern art is: it justifies their existence. It gives them some clever thing to know that normal people don

Right but that's not because modern architectural style has made the interiors better. It's mainly technological improvements that allow larger windows, bigger space, better insulation, etc. You can totally have a traditional st

8MB is huge compared to the stacks we used to have when address spaces were 32-bit, but it's tiny compared to how much memory we can actually make use of now. The only real argument I can think of for having such a small stack is that

Is that confirmed? Arm devices tend to be awkward to install your own OS on in general. E.g. look at Android phones. I mean Valve definitely are very open-source friendly but I wouldn't just assume.

nRF5x also has completely configurable pins, and if you're worrying about awkward pinouts making PCB design slightly more annoying then you're definitely not in a cost sensitive project.

It's a stack overflow which means it's using recursion and for historical reasons that don't make sense any more, stacks are teeny tiny on 64-bit Linux - apparently only 8 MB on Linux! I'm not sure why they don't ra
