A toy mental model could be e.g. a function that takes OS/IO/GUI events and produces actions (which are then executed by the caller) and then iterate it as long as the program runs. This function in itself can be pure.

You can download and share only selected parts of a torrent. With enough people you're going to get full coverage anyway.

There's typically a list of dependencies of a specific project as a part of it, (hopefully) handled automatically by some part of build pipeline.

You can also create files named e.g. '--help' (if you're not particularly malicious) and with globbing it'll cause e.g. 'ls *' to print help.

You want every call handled in finite time. It's not that there is an unending computation in a telephone exchange, but a series of finite tasks. You can call it corecursion, coinduction or something else co-.

There are many equivalent definitions and many of them do not refer to geometry at all. If you don't want to go through cos you can always define pi as sqrt(6 * sum from 1 to inf 1/n^2).

For me what makes most sense is that we're relatively early in cosmic history. You need enough heavy (and diverse!) elements to be able to support life/civilization and you won't get that from early stars.

There are many ways in which a number might not never repeat itself, but not contain all sequences (e.g. never use a specific digit). What you want is normal numbers and pi is not proven to be one (though probably it is).
