I wasn't expressing condescension but that you would have had a better understanding of what was being discussed after you would have read the thread. You should work at following the exact site guideline that you quoted, instead of ma

The NCUA is the US Federal Government Agency that oversees Credit Unions. A Credit Union is not the same as a bank, since a CU is member-owned and member-controlled.

I was pointing out that I don't see them in my day to day activities. You've added exactly nothing to this discussion, just written a personal attack founded on misunderstanding and make-believe.

What you reference is that commas are used to set off non-restrictive clauses, where the meaning of the sentence is clear without the additional clause. Though, the non-restrictive clause provides additional description of a word in the mai

If you have an account in need of insurance in excess of the FDIC limits, you can speak with your CFO about depositor bonds or contact the appropriate party about any of the other methods in the links that were posted in this thread.

Except, I didn't write I hadn't seen them. "I've never seen them in business or personal writing". We can discuss that I chose the word "seen", when I meant "noticed", but there is no doubt that

Thank you. It seems you misread the discussion. Following this thread, the discussion isn't about the existence or absence of punctuation. The discussion is about the case of three specific punctuation marks, which appear extremely sim

Ah, I am cut to the quick. In truth, one must sometimes be cruel to be kind. To one such as I, neither the hyphen nor the dash are a dish fit for the gods. In tragic travesty, it's all Greek to me. All that glitters isn't gold! [1

This is way too much pedantry and hyper-hyphen-focus. Honestly, I don't care about endashes or emdashes. I've never seen them in business or personal writing, and I probably never will. They add nothing to anyone's communicat

You can purchase DIF, when the account is at a participating bank. SVB chose not to participate in that non-FDIC program. However, SVB knew all about the program, even commenting on FDIC rule changes for it over a decade ago. [1] Ultimately

Just about everyone in the US who has a business bank account faces that same issue. There have been hundreds of bank failures before this. SVB account holders are not unique and probably won't get special treatment.

It was just yesterday that there were pages of comments here on HN filled with people talking about how there should be no bank reserves. The arguments were that cash flow is king and reserves are bad for the economy.
