What do you believe the causation is then? If light isn't what impacts it, then it seems like the summer should have more crime than winter. Kids are out of school and there is no snow and cold.

Is there actually any proof? Just because an event happened that doesn't prove it caused the decline of an entire empire. There is as much proof here as the decline in internet explorer usage leading to the decline in the murder rate.

Since some people who have commented here seem to not think it is a big deal because they don't eat 3 meals a day. The article is saying this change is due to economic impacts, not for dieting/fasting/health purposes.

Which could be true, but not what the article claims. The title says "has become" and the first paragraph says "had devolved". It makes it sound like it wasn't complete garbage before.

The article doesn't say the issue is the rate is higher, just that they are shown next to a pro-Nazi post. I've seen pro-Nazi and similarly gross posts pre-Musk so either the companies didn't care back then or the article is

I doubt this would happen. Americans don't want a place that is as chaotic and corrupt. If they can get their act together there is a chance they could join, but until that happens there is no way it would happen.
