I failed to find in the article the reason why it's frowned upon, are there reasons published in the guide?

Coffee, sure. Some still oppose it. But refrigerators? I doubt it, unless you were an ice man. I can think of nothing less controversial then keep your food from spoiling.

Conceptually is nice. All react code I've seen or wrote of even the most trivial systems have components (and more then a few) that override lifecycle methods - which is by almost definition OO's polymorphism. Buy even if you coul

Is this same react where your components keep internal state (called state) and every component must be created by extending a base class?

I think the functional vs OO debate is being done with a very narrow point of view. Functional came before OO and there are reasons why it became much more popular- it had much better, easier and simpler solution to the most common problems

The title made me think this will be a quiz about rarely known commands or feature in some IDEs. That would be nice. Instead it's a quiz where there are 8 subjective barely descriptive words (such as good ui, has app, etc..) and 4 saas

A lot of comments here talk about recaptcha having a distinctive traffic signature, but I don't understand this. Why does recaptcha have a distinct signature and if it does couldn't an attacker just make a distinct signature witho

No, the idea is simple - the servers are invisible to the user, he doesn't know what or how many are in use. Since the servers are completely abstracted away, they could have just as well not be - hence serverless. An analogy escapes m

Well oracle has an eventlog (which you use to synchornize databases). I'm guessing that other databases have similar implementations. Though no API to hook into it, as far as I know.

Well, there are a few other massive differences - RDBMS have basically its own version control built in (which is what allows ACID) and by containing the logic for joins it allows performance based on statistics (which can't be done in

Perhaps, but I was replying to the parent comment, which did talk about dynamic languages and copy paste code to production.

I've seen people change Java code in production to fix a bug and recompile it. This is hardly a behavior that exists only in dynamic languages.

Angular 1 is a shame, and it's absolutely right that it shouldn't have been abruptly replaced (though not terminated). But polymer was and still is barely an alpha, and was practically not used for any real usage (which isn't

There is another upside to modules being easy to make and publish - they are also easy to change. The query parser you want isn't able to handle nested objects and arrays easily - fork it, add your small piece of code (to what is hopef

As far as I know there is no process or laws to facilitate citizenship of non-jews in Israel(unless in a relationship with a citizen of Israel). There is only a discretion given to the minister of interior to individually grant citizenship

Well there are 2 advantages to angular (1 or 2) over react: 1. It has effortless two way binding, which makes apps that allow mutating the same state from a lot of places easy and simple to make (though one could argue harder to maintain) 2
