That is the one I was referring to. I don't think it reasonable to ask €10,- per month because that is just ridiculous compared to the costs that they are making. Of course it is an important service. But it would also be outrageous to

Too bad it is only in german. I'm a big proponent of paying for your service, the €1,- per Monat is reasonable instead of the rediculous 10,- per Monat you pay at some of the other privacy respecting services.

That is really an implementation of the app. The protocol does not prevent this in any way. You would need an app that somehow upload some info to the server and that synchronizes this info across your devices in a secure way.

I think we are all aware of what they wanted to achieve, but some are afraid to say it.

Not true. That purchase will lead back to the store you bought it from. Which could be a problem.

I was at a meeting a week ago and there was the CTO of amazon. He was speaking about how you could do 'secure and trusted' computations on untrusted platforms, and how your users would definitely be safe when you run your services

The reason that they were sympathetic to Osama Bin Laden was because he was building roads, schools and hospitals in Sudan while the rest of the world didn't give a shit.

So MIT murders a student (Arron S.), Yale does some ridiculous censoring... What's next?

Well, you can't exactly fix it all at once. But that doesn't mean that we shouldn't start somewhere. And there is still the possibility to run this on your (possibly security hardened) computer.

Why didn't you go for monte carlo tree search? Wouldn't that have been more robust to handle different games?

I'd say no. The fact that it is GPU, not asic results in a more distributed, decentralized coin. It is probably more difficult to build a custom chip and do majority mining within one company/agency. Also the distribution of wealt

Not only is it possible, they are doing it already. I installed telegram on two devices (android and ipad) and they somehow were both able to decrypt incoming messages. How did the second device get the key..?

Yes, I have been using chatsecure and I know it is much more secure but it is almost unusable on ios because it can not run in background. As for the false sense of security, you're probably right.

People here are complaining a lot about this app, and rightfully so. However, this is definitely the best encrypted communications app there is for ios and therefore also the only app that is cross platform and able to reach a wide audience
