I have a theory, There are 7 directory authorities in Tor, if they don't function then the tor network is dead. So that is just seven people you would need to abduct and torture (to take over the tor network) or 7 drone strikes to kill

How did silk road add more bandwidth to the network? Also, SR was way before Snowden.

Yes, I have been considering i2p, the 'garlic router' which seems to have hedged against a lot of attacks that could be possible on tor.

Seriously, To just take two examples: -Every bitmessage user can be mitm'd by their ISP. (yes, I know about tor). -Every bitmessage user could have only bad peers connecting to them when peers aggressively try to connect to their clien

I wrote the libertymail proposal. You said you'd read it but you never commented on it. It is mainly a summation of attacks that are possible on bitmessage, and provides solutions on how to prevent such attacks. I also propose a soluti

They have some vague ideas for scalability that they do not know how to implement. Also they have some major security issues that I pointed out to them, but they simply ignored. I am sure bitmessage will never be a success because it is fun

The US government was not at all opposing apartheid, but had to react to pressures. They could easily have imposed a boycott and collapsed the regime way before it did. Instead they send military support to the oppressors. And sure Mandela

Just until July 2008 Nelson Mandela was on the USA TERRORIST list (link). Do you know who the Nelson Mandelas of our time are? Do you support them? https://en.wikinews.org/wiki/Nelson_Mandela_taken_off_US_ter...

Actually, you can do something. You can run a tor node (from your home mostly for free). You can also set up a bridge in 10 minutes via https://cloud.torproject.org/ for just $3 per month. You might not directly see the goo

Something I wonder about is whether an isp or peer nodes could detect the transactions are coming from you.

Many previous k-means applications are now done using support vector machines. They are a bit more advances, but not a lot.

Yes. As you can see my first relay started out as an exit relay, but my fascist ISP (whom I can not choose or contact) kept on blocking my router's mac address, which made my relay unstable. Since I am not an exit anymore the relay has

No, not really. What happens sometimes is that there is insufficient memory. This happens if you do a lot of apt-get update and upgrade, or run other stuff. My relay just starts at boot and then does nothing else. EDIT: I chose 600 kb/
