I may be confused. April 1, 2022 is almost a month from now. You haven't lost anything yet?

I grabbed an old, used sewing machine in grad school to repair some things. Sewing is one of the simplest "practical" skills, I'd encourage more people to learn the basics. I have taught a bunch of people in about a day, at

This is what I do. It's only a couple clicks deep and works as well as the native app. Definitely preferable to having that junk on my machine.

One of my favorite podcasts, Risky Business[0] regularly plugs Airlock[1]. They seem like they might be the one out front, at least as a paid service. [0] https://risky.biz/netcasts/risky-business/ [1] https:&#x

My parents (mid 50s) have been doing this for 5-10 years. It just kind of came about naturally with their workdays starting late and them being night owls, and they leaned into it. It's weird enough that I imagine many of the people

I just got through my Graduate Intro to OS course at Georgia Tech last year, and your networking guide is still handed from student to student every single semester to survive the first project. I didn't think I'd get the chance,

I feel you've answered your own question. If you want to make a single app that can be web or offline, and cross-platform, Electron and friends allow you to do that. It's a trade-off of dev effort for user experience, and as muc

This looks like such a fascinating project. I would love to contribute to this sort of low-level work, but frankly I don't know enough yet. I'm going to have to dig into that repo a bunch. Anyone have any personal favorite books

I've done #1, it didn't occur to me that you could split up #2 and #3. That sounds like a really interesting project. Thanks for the idea!

My kid was born in early 2020, I paid even less and also wasn't charged for holding her. Not sure why you're being downvoted for providing actual facts.

While I would love for this to happen, I just don't see it at all. There are literally millions of Windows workstations or laptops across corporate campuses in the US, because at the end of the day what 95% of white collar workers need

I'd give 20 to 1 that was CS6035. Project 1 is a ret2libc buffer overflow, and it's a bit of a wake-up call for many students. Certainly was for me, though I got through it. I can't say enough good things about OMSCS. I&#x

I took a quick look, it seems like all the postings are London or New York. What's the feeling internally about remote hires? I'm assuming that's still out of fashion in finance and Beacon feels the same?
