I think there's a misunderstanding here on what "use" means. > You could ignore the GPL and static-link a piece of software to a GPLed library, but if you did so, you'd legally need a different right to use the GPLed

I've stared at this comment for about an hour now. I'm reading this as you saying that where you currently are (the Midwest?) people your age perceive the gender ratio as poor, and think they'll have better luck with a better

Yes, you can, but there's a bit more mental math involved for a human looking at it, and more truthfully it's just less aesthetically pleasing.

I think Car View was well intentioned. For me it caused more issues than it solved. I would forget about its existence until I was already driving. Now the interface on a touchscreen is different in subtle ways, like some gestures not worki

There are two solutions that come to my mind, both are more by convention: 1. Always use merge commits (--no-ff) a la git flow, and leave the branch name in the merge commit. That doesn't get you the branch name on the commit, but it s

I wasn't able to find anywhere to buy just the board, but starter kits with sd card/power adapter/hdmi/etc are available on Amazon for ~100 USD as of this past Thursday.

To me "pythonic" is as far as you can go on the easy side of simple vs easy in the Rich Hickey sense. Where Clojure prioritizes simple and attempts to make simple easy, Python eschews all else and prioritizes easy. From the Zen of

I have the same experience with Arch. If anything has ever been borked a quick search and at worst Ctrl-Alt-F3 to get to a different TTY and running some commands has fixed whatever it was. I've never needed recovery or a separate boot

Nit: I think you meant Fargo, ND rather than Fargo, SD. For local market rate, [1] seems to match anecdata with new grads being 50-70k. MSFT is largely responsible for anything above that. [1] https://www.salary.com/research
