Valve never had a commitment to Linux beyond trying to break Microsoft's monopoly. Don't get any illusions that Valve loves Linux, or Linux users. They just hate being locked into a Microsoft ruled monopoly. And picking between Ma

Yeah that's how the email reads to me as well. A person who's had so much pressure on them to create amazing things that he's blaming himself for not being god-like.

I assume you mean major release upgrade, I haven't gotten that far yet so I view it as a problem to solve once it arises. Obviously it runs in a container, but I have to run the pg_upgrade tool before I start the new container image ta

It's not my script, it's the script used by the linked project. I use pg_isready. Unfortunately I won't link my project because I try to keep this HN account separate from my true identity.

Sometimes it's like HN is reading my mind. I just finished a setup where I run PostgreSQL as a quadlet on CoreOS, and in order to manage backups I use systemd Require so the postgres container depends on a pgbackrest container that jus

Do you know if there is a simpler torrent tracker out there, like whatever the fedora project is using? https://torrent.fedoraproject.org/ I just want a simple list, and the backend.

I don't think it's possible to say. All we know is that fake parts are in circulation. We can assume some aircraft have fake parts out there, or there wouldn't be a market for them. But it must be hard to trace fake parts.

What weird timing because I just got my first ever "Presidential alert" in Croatia because a plastics factory was burning south of my city. Luckily there was a northernly wind all day.
