Nothing, some of us already knew nothing would come of it. People are just so dramatic and they don't understand the services they're using. Most people have no idea what's behind reddit, facebook, youtube. They just see a fr

The curse of that website, it made me dizzy just scrolling. Containers are amazing, they're bigger than docker, end of story.

But the scam described in the first link is not much different than what is plaguing Microsoft Authenticator in phishing mails. Sending a QR code and getting someone to scan it to steal OTP access. It's still much better than anything

I'm speaking as a naive end user here. BankID in Sweden turns 20 this year. I've been using it for 15 years. Started out as an app on Mac, Windows, now it's on your cellphone. People have critizied it but in 15 years I have y

The free ride is over. I feel like the only reason this is upsetting to people is because it seemed to be free for so long. If you give someone a free meal every day for 15 years, and then suddenly take it away, they'll be pretty upset

I'm a Poweruser of Linux since the late 90s and I can tell you that if you're a Windows or Mac poweruser with zero Linux experience, you're not going to have a good time in Linux. Linux has come amazingly far, but I still wou

It says "Why do paywalls exist", of course to elicit payment for content, that's obvious. But what is less obvious is that they exist because we're centralizing a lot of information in a few places, and these sites requi

Ever since I heard someone describe ADD as your "fight or flight response going haywire", I've realized that a lot of people in my life with true ADD have experienced trauma in their childhood. But I'm no doctor, just ma

I've been using it as a digital nomad on shaky southern european airbnb and hotel connections for the past year and I have no complaints. I was skeptical to it, until I realized it uses cgroups for isolation. Now I'm actually quit

I don't know what that means. I can tell you that I've been typing since my first c64 in 1989. I once placed in the top 20 of typeracer by using a basic apple keyboard I found lying around at work. I know how to type very well. I

I don't know what that means. I want ÅÄÖ and/or ÅÆØ on my keyboard out of box. I don't want to use stickers, I don't want to guess, I don't want to engrave things. I do really want the Framework 13 though, it seems

Local police force here in Sweden too. It's kinda nuts for me to turn a corner and see a police van with a dude wearing a visor and a control panel. And sometimes I've seen the drones hovering in the city, just watching, getting a

You don't even have to be a rat owner. I'd say any creature that dreams has an imagination, and dreaming is clearly visible when they're twitching in their sleep. Also just watch Mark Rober's squirrel obstacle course to

Another oft cited example is the McDonalds strike of '88 in Denmark. I'm very proud of being part of this scandinavian society when it shows this kind of solidarity with workers. Workers are after all the majority of society.
