It's basically a larger version of P-Snurran they made in Stockholm back in 2023. It was like a CD changer for cars.

Depends on your perspective. Yes I grew up with that type of decor, but it doesn't comfort me today because all I can think of are all the knocks and crannies where dust and pollen doesn't get cleaned out of.

Ok that was a bit of a more challenge than my own, posts like this make me see the bright sides of my own upbringing. The post made me think of what I could say about my own father, who's 83 now and still kicking, but obviously we&#x27

Hi fellow human, I got the same idea. Just a sleep 0.1 before the echo "" makes it readable. Otherwise it scrolls way too fast.

One alternative for those who don't want any of the major NAS vendors, just use RHEL10. It's free up to 16 licenses, it's ultra stable, cockpit is a very mature gui for a lot of maintenance tasks. It's a set and forget O

As a pedestrian I love this. I actually suggested a solution like this 2 years ago, because so many drivers are bad at signaling. I wanted a camera that used machine learning to learn a driver's cues when they're making a turn, an

I agree, we used to have photo albums in cupboards, and they used to get burnt if the house burned down, or water damaged if the boiler broke, or even stolen. Now we have them digitally and we can back them up off-site. That's all the

Me and all my friends are active homelabbers and selfhosters. Recently one had their first baby, so they migrated from Fedora to RHEL, just to spend less time on upgrades. :D I thought that was cute. Like RHEL is so stable, even a first tim

If you want to get a good idea of how different modern Linux APIs are now compared to before. Look at cPanel vs. cockpit. cPanel had to maintain its own unified API above a slew of other interfaces, while Cockpit benefits from a unified OS

Systemd resistance is silly to me. Systemd is what is turning Linux into a viable modern OS. You need something to tie all the parts of the OS together with a unified API, otherwise you'll be fighting fragmentation constantly. I don&#x

But wait, the work seems to be from the 2nd century, but it was buried during the Vesuvius eruption in the 1st century? I love stuff like this because it gives a glimpse into Roman society. To me it seems like they were very similar to us t

Oh I see, your restore of template backup is actually how you deploy a new VM. Interesting!

by INTPenis 4mo ago
So you deploy a new VM from a template, shut it down, take a backup and then restore that backup to your target node. Is all this done with IaC? Ansible? Even the backup part? I haven't touched backups with Ansible yet.
