Apple got the fundamentals correct from the beginning and I've always been mystified by the hot takes claiming it was a failure. It's designed with security in mind, so your HomeKit fridge isn't going to take part in a DDOS a

Cool so then it just comes down to leverage. Developers who wants this have almost none and Apple has all of it. As a user who mostly doesn't care about the trials and tribulations that developers go through, my interests are aligned w

All of these things are already available in native apps. Putting aside all the business reasons for why Apple wouldn't want to do this, why should Apple spend any time to enable this for web apps? You say the choice is between a web a

Is there a reason for users to care about this at all? Because it seems to me that this just solves problems for developers while making the user experience worse or not as good as it could be. The same goes for Electron-based apps.

It seems to me the actual solution is to hire experts as employees. That solves the "can't put food on the table" problem. It's probably a lot more efficient and effective use of their cash. As far as I know Apple has al

As far as I know, Apple's bug bounties are the highest in the industry. They're not competitive with the black market, but I don't think they should try to be.

This is a mantra that's been repeated whenever "pro users" feel like Apple is neglecting them, but there isn't actually any evidence that this is true. It may have been true at one point in the 90s, when Apple's cus
