Not at all. He made his money, so now he can act all morally superior even though we've all known Google to be a menace since long before he started there in 2017. This article is downright ridiculous.

I've heard nothing but good things about Fastmail, but this article in particular is literally just pointless fluff.

Really enjoyed reading this, but kind of lost on what the deeper meaning might have been, if any.

I've definitely never heard proactivity described as being an emotion. Doesn't really make any sense

Forgive my ignorance, but were LLMs involved in that decision? I don't remember hearing anything to that effect, but we're so bombarded by news these days I guess I could just be forgetting

Only a guess, but it could be because WTFPL is effectively very similar to having no license at all from what I gather

Idk man, that sounds like a pretty sweet deal to me. I don't have to go anywhere or do anything, all my needs are taken care of for me, I can just relax and do whatever I want. What could be better than that? Sign me up lmao

We don't all know they get it wrong a lot. In fact, there's an overwhelming number of people who take it at face value

I relate to this quite a lot, to be honest. There has to be some happy medium somewhere, though.

Yeah, this I will seriously never understand. When I was a kid, if my mother didn't want me doing something then she would make sure I couldn't do it. Is nobody parenting their children anymore? Do they just let them do whateve

So Lenovo puts trackpoints on their ThinkPads, which is ugly. Also, big corporations cater to aesthetics. Which is it?

That's even worse. What could be more cold and impersonal than delivering bad news using an LLM?

On very rare occasions I may do that for a user, if I happen to have extra RAM on hand from - for example - a broken machine. But by and large it's just going to be a whole machine upgrade.

Well-designed purpose-built tools stand the test of time. When you need a hammer you need a hammer. I learned to swing a hammer a very long time ago, and that skill has stayed with me on modern-day hammers - I didn't have to learn th
