I think it's just that some people really like having a physical object to put in their bookshelf or whatever. I don't personally see the point, but I also don't need any more clutter in my house.

Yep. Occasionally people shoehorn it into conversations thinking it's more inclusive (it's not) when in reality it just confuses people unnecessarily.

I'm married to a nonbinary person and not even they like "xe". It's definitely weird to use it for a cisgender person who has never expressed interest in being referred to in that way. It's usually done by peopl

Maybe I'm a bit daft but I don't even fully understand what this means, even after reading the article.

No, it would imply that "experiences" is fundamentally not a word that applies to LLMs. It does not in any way suggest there's some alternative word to be used there.

It's great fun too, just a couple weeks ago I was startled awake at around 3:30AM for an emergency alert, concerning a 75 year old woman who had wandered off about an hour from where I live. Really annoying, I wake up at 5AM for work

On my Fedora machine I was able to run mokutil --db --short To check my secure boot keys. As long as there's 2023 Microsoft keys you should be fine. Otherwise, my understanding is that you just need to update your firmware,

As a person who works in a factory, areas are changed drastically, regularly, and quite fast. The cost of adapting areas to accommodate purpose-built machines pales in comparison to making robots work in suboptimal ways. It's much mo

Nope, I can personally confirm there is not one single rat in Alberta. I counted them myself - counted the entire rat population in an afternoon. Only took so long because I'm terrible at counting, but I came to a final tally of zero

I don't understand why they would implement humanoid robots instead of purpose-built robots. The human form is not the most optimal way to do most tasks, especially as it relates to manufacturing. Robots don't need to look like
