Maybe I’m using the wrong term but my understanding is that the carbon comes from the feed, which itself pulls it from the atmosphere. Thus, it came from the air, and goes back into the air. The fossil fuels did the same but on a grander sc

Your link is in support of a carbon tax on fossil fuels but makes no mention of farms, cows, or cattle. Did you mean to post a different link?

by HorizonXP 2y ago
And the fossil fuel should already be taxed to accounts for its externality so I agree. I’m missing something here.
34.
by HorizonXP 2y ago
Could you explain which externality this is? I know they produce a lot of methane which is more of a GHG than CO2, but as far as I know, that methane is a part of the carbon cycle so it should be a net neutral contribution.

TBH, as a founder with 15+ years experience and a family, I think you're on track. I'm starting a new thing right now with some built-up runway before I go raise a round. But in my position, I also know that I can go find an FTE o

This is a deep cut. And c’mon, you can’t blame people for thinking Paul’s the good guy. He’s badass. It’s a great story. It’s when fiction becomes non-fiction that it’s a problem.

Personally, I don't see this situation as being that different than how people might make jigs, modify tools, make checklists, etc. to make their job easier/more efficient/safer. Live and let live, knowing that you were intel

Of those 57 sales, were there any that truly loved what you built? That couldn't live without it? Focus on making 10 people really love you, make their problem your problem, and you'll likely figure out the answer to your question

I’m in that camp. My kids and I don’t have issues, but my wife does. We’ve had to de-train in Germany once and go to a hospital due to a reaction while on vacation. Last week in NYC, we bought food and were ensured that it didn’t have nuts.

I think you guys are on the right track and this is a problem we are struggling with at my client. I’ll test it out with them and see what they think. I will say that we were originally exploring Bright, but we had to rely on telling them w

I'll tell you about the time I didn't. I took the money, bought a custom engagement ring, and planned a surprise proposal & engagement photoshoot in Rome. She's asleep in the other room with my 8mo son, and I'm about

It is, except that’s the short-sighted fallacy of this too. He had $60. His options were: A) pay someone local to make it B) buy from abroad and save $50 to spend on other items to increase economic prosperity Either way he gets his part. B

To me, it’s like making a clear, well-supported, and coherent argument, but nonchalantly adding curse words. It adds nothing, except alienating those who might otherwise have listened. It’s harder to do, but I’d rather get to the future wit

I don’t think the “woke-mind-virus” superlative is conducive to the type of conversation we should be having but otherwise I fully agree. Canada does nothing to promote home-grown economic prosperity. What is the value in adding those taxes

Maybe adding your location would help centre some of the discussion. A few questions, feel free to leave them unanswered. 1. What leads you to believe you'd be a good teacher? 2. Why are you looking at the high school level? Not higher

I share your frustration but part of this has to be incremental to get people on-boarded and interested. Most people will search for Raspberry Pi, not Linux. Now, will those tutorials point out at the end, “Hey, this applies to most Linux d

Of course it is! That’s why I have nothing but love and patience for my son. But we usually learn to put that aversion aside when we understand that it’s for a good reason. That part takes time and maturity.

Yeah I remember hearing about this and being similarly appalled. I get it. The US really wanted to kill Bin Laden. But the manner in which they did it is sickening. The ends cannot justify the means.

But the current manufacturing of EVs and batteries isn’t carbon neutral or net zero until well into a vehicle’s lifecycle. It’s still worth doing but we should understand the true cost.

I had to solve this problem too. For my first son, it wasn't that easy, it was many hours of Google searching, only to be "thwarted" by my wife's off-hand suggestion that actually worked out well. For my second son, I us
