I am a hospitalist and we still occasionally use pagers, but they are not reliable like people assume. Dropped/missed pages happen, probably at about 1-5% frequency. The battery life is great but still my phone can be recharged and is

This is a good article. One of the sad things is that the rates of NAFLD (non-alcoholic fatty liver disease) are increasing in proportion to the increase we see in morbid obesity, diabetes, etc... and this can also lead to cirrhosis and the

This is not universally true, but I don’t know where your family works or in what capacity. There are a lot of issues with epic but unfortunately it is the best out of all the garbage out there. Out of all the EMR’s I have used, Epic is the

If you tried such a method people would probably be opposed to it because of concerns people would be tempted to obtain it and sell. One would probably model it off of methadone clinics. In most clinics the methadone has to be taken by the

That’s interesting, I got roped into this man’s website which is similar. I felt very sad about him and tried to find out if he ever found love. He was very conflicted about it and on his website he states he was 50 when it was written. ht

You probably know this but for others, Lucky Jim was written by his father Kingsley Amis, who was also a popular author in his time. Reading Martin’s memoir about his relationship with his dad is pretty good.

I found the one we like: Medaglia d’oro. It sounds fancy but it’s pretty common and minimally more expensive than basic instant coffee. A couple years ago I tried a taste test of many and we liked that one the best.

Here's my experience with podcasts, as a mild-moderate user, and it may explain part of the drop off. The first time I tried podcasts I listened to ones about my work (internal medicine, hospital based physician), I started with a few.
