I don't think the problem is how to update: it's easy enough in the interface, it just works. The problem is whether after the upgrade you suddenly don't see the heater anymore, or another device stops working.

As far as I understand, LLMs with 95% correct answers are much more useful than a car that doesn't crash 95% of times (if you need to pay attention to correct mistakes, you may well be driving). A 95% correct LLM might be utter garbage

I would phrase it that open source is just about the license of code, not about anything else, and definitely not about how changes are applied to such code. Usually, it just practically means that you are allowed to make changes and redist

I'm not so sure about your argument: the usual argument against a VPN is that you are trusting effectively somebody else's computer. They can have all the business incentives in the world, but we know that some states go knocking
