The Civil War in America absolutely dominated the British national conversation, especially in the early years of the war. Politicians followed the conflict closely, and there were even several debates in Parliament over British policy to

Simply saying that "Shintoism" led to atrocities is a massive oversimplification of the Japanese during WW2. This topic is so complex and Japanese culture (especially pre-WW2 culture) is so complex that I hesitate even to commen

Bluey runs on repeat in our (American) house and I'm sure I've seen each episode a half-dozen times now. I find the Australian accents and cultural references to be a charming and fundamental part of the show. The wildlife, the fa

Agree in general that the UK/Attenborough cut is preferable, but the American intro sequence is fantastic and dramatic. Gave me chills the first time I watched it.

My previous dog hardly understood anything. She was a nightmare to train. My current dog is practically a genius by comparison. She understands complex instructions (“go outside and go potty and then let’s go to bed” - and off she goes!) Am

I think what might make this tough for midwestern states is that the snow doesn't stick around all winter. It's not unheard of to have 4-5 big snows that melt relatively quickly and most of the winter you're just dealing with
