Shame there's not a demo board. Being able to go in and play around with some populated data without having to sign up would be a big plus. And while this may be a better alternative to Trello, no where do I see why it's a bette

Those are normally all just at the start of a tenancy. Agents still charge around £100 to extend the agreement after a year.

So when does a "customer development call" become a cold call? As a small startup trying to talk to potential customers how does this affect me? All these books on startups talk about picking up the phone and talking to people.

The example that springs to mind is Spree ( https://spreecommerce.com/ ). Spree itself is open source, but Spree Commerce make their money from support, implementation and premium offerings.

What about solutions like Dropbox or Gmail? Or even plain old email for that matter. Even if you look after those yourself, how can you be 100% sure that you can offer a service that is more secure and reliable than a third party?

AlienBlue was a paid purchase until it was acquired by Reddit. I believe they'll soon start charging for the Pro version at some point in the near future again.

The difference between knowing Rails and knowing how to best apply its abilities come with experience IMO. While it provides an easy approach to web development it's still extremely easy to approach things in the wrong manner with Rail

You already have experience in .NET so I'm not sure why you are trying to move away from it to a language in which you have no experience at all. You mention the work you did on the simple CMS and praying that it worked. Build on those

Not really. The app only picks up music from ambient mic input. Your app looks like something I've needed for a while though!

One big difference between the two is that from what I understand is that with Stripe you use a shared merchant account where as with Paymill everyone get's their own. This explains why with Stripe you can be approved in minutes where
