In my experience disabling JS entirely on Bloomberg saves a lot of time (and bandwidth, I'd assume). I once run a test: Loading time (with cache disabled) went from a full 18 seconds to just 6. Also no random flashing due to the header

I'm not saying "just install Chrome", that wouldn't solve the problem. I'm saying it'd be nice just have a Chromium install that's used by the other apps. If you use anything based on Electron you're

Didn't they also change scope entirely? When I signed in (and never got invited) it was more like a visualization library or something to do cool 3d stuff.. and then moved to UIs and mobile apps and whatnot when it came out. Funny enou

If you like to tweak your Chrome install, check out: chrome://flags/#extension-active-script-permission It adds an extra level of permission where each extension that doesn't ask for a specific website is, by default, lo

This is exactly what I did, and I'm so happy I did. I'm now Facebook-free which is something I didn't think I could get (albeit I lost contact with a couple of people I rarely spoke with). I'm using Telegram a lot lately

I'm not really experienced in @font-face, but I think it's specifing a different webfont for single unicode characters (using the range attribute). Chrome will then try to fetch the font from the many URLs, making an HTTP request

Yes, that's the proper way. It's not even that much of a cheat, really. I'm surprised they decided to make a full blog post on how they fight such a simple trick (incorrectly, even). It won't work that much anyway, a sim

I still kinda miss the era of UMPCs (how much has it been since I last used that term). I always wanted tablets to be small PCs, not big phones. The whole mobile thing strips them of most of their productive potential, as they have most app
