It doesn't go through "extra scrutiny" in any meaningful sense. It just gets reported to the IRS so people don't evade taxes.

The federal government just put a cap on overdraft fees. IIRC, it is $3.

Your salary costs for all programming and other development can only be written off over a five year period instead of the year you incur them. That means if you are breaking even normally with 1MM of developer costs, the government will ta

You are really hung up on misinterpreting this. I'm not sure if it's intentional or not, but this is like the 4th place you've confused "must accept cash for payments" with "must accept a cash replacement for g

Cabinet members and some others can be fired by the president. Those that cannot be fired serve a fixed term when they are appointed by the President and they then have to be confirmed by the Senate.

He demanded voting rights, not equity. That's an important distinction. I'm willing to bet a percentage of Tesla stockholders would be more than happy to have Musk have more control. But it could be trivially met by just making hi

A private company makes mistakes. Competition corrects it by either forcing the private company to adapt or driving them out of business. There are issues with that plan when there are not enough competitors.

The value of the local college decreases dramatically if your goal isn't to stay local. If you want to move across the country, I'm would bet the MIT name outweighs the friend-of-a-friend introductions you could get.

The problem with something like AmazonGo is that people don't just like being tracked by CCTV. Making it more obvious will drive people away. To say nothing of people not trusting it to accurately ring up their purchases.
