There are attacks that embed hacks into built compilers so unless you are looking to write your software from scratch you need to trust people. And by scratch I mean "without modern hardware" given supply chain attacks also apply

Doesn't this exact exploit not fixed by your capability theory? It is hijacking a process that has network access at runtime not build time. The build hack grabs files from the repo and inspects build parameters (in a benign way, every

Bullshit single payer would vastly decrease that number. Only having one payor who has from your perspective fixed rates is going to vastly simplify that process compared to the cluster of today. Health insurance profit would also disappear

Summing up that topic that way is disingenuous at best. The rate of self selection of healthcare is not that different in the US. While our old are more likely to seek care our young are way way less likely to. A ton of that is unnecessary

Few things: only one doctor visit is allowed and for some insurance companies asking about health problems voids that. Preventative is very narrowly defined to exclude anything considered a sickness in anyway. Getting something done that wi

No one knows how much care costs. Insurance companies and providers hide the real Costa when predicting in the guise of "information security" which makes choosing a facility on price literally impossible. Time isn't a factor

I tell the computer exactly what I want done and it produces another program I can use to do that task. Am I describing an LLM or a programming language? Templates have been a thing for a long time and beyond being better than Google at fin

To be clear I don't mean ChatGPT today. I meant the technology we are using. As in while AI in general could do more the highest possible echelon of this kind of AI is junior developer.

I don't think the current round of AI is capable of replacing anything but Junior developers and doing that would just result in a shock in a few decades when there is a lack of Senior developers since on the job training is important

Often the rules that require things of a company have penalties for non-compliance. Those penalties don't always have exemptions for stopping service. In fact it might have the opposite to avoid trying to put political pressure by doin

Apple is severely limiting what access software has to data from the device. And that even includes your own software. The point is messing around with cool technology is a great way to engage with things.

The federal government can do a 1040EZ for you. Intuit has blocked government attempts to do that by offering free taxes for half of Americans (that was the deal). Of course they decided to renegade and only do 37% per their advertising. Hi

I am responding to the question as to why NASA is private about failures like this. Certainly failing is fine and learning from failures is useful. But you cannot honestly claim that the public perception of NASA agrees with what you wrote.

If they wanted an REPL having an interpreted Go compiler isn't unheard of in the space. It isn't like a hypothetical C++ REPL would use unmodified LLM under the hood after all.
