You say systems problems like Go is for embedded work. Half the things I have seen replaced Python scripts. Seeing what your internal state is after taking X action is exactly what REPLs are good at...

You don't delivery pizza for the delivery fee... You deliver pizza to sell more pizza. My point is the delivery is alone is almost covering your cost a lot of the time.

Pizza Hut has a $4.99 delivery fee in CA so either they are claiming they can't manage to sell four pizzas and hour or this isn't about the bill but about reduced demand.

This will not be neutral on Pizza Hut. The delivered price is their price.

Negligence isn't enough for most crimes. There is a Mens Rea test which requires deliberate illegal action or gross negligence. Lots of these aren't "person up top said to cheat" but usually "person up top has unrea

IIRC other manufacturers would detect the usage pattern of tests and run cleaner as a form of bypass. Similarly you could lie on the OC2 response.

I don't know what isn't believable about a suspension issue leading to an accident which causes a five figure repair bill. Or Tesla being very weird about fixing failures in their vehicles.

Do you count wave particle duality as randomness? Certainly the dual slit experiment makes hidden variables very hard to preserve. Additionally several tests have shown that hidden variables don't work to explain quantum mechanics, the

That phrase doesn't mean what you think it is. "Learn from the mistakes of X" doesn't mean X is bad, it means X made mistakes.

I feel like having a distinct implementation that is unstable is more likely. Stabilizing things from rustc is a recipe for disaster as if rustc builds something new you are in a bad place.

NIHI is usually "using product X is almost as hard (or expensive )as building it" Linux tends to shun unfree software which is a very different take. Buy or build is roughly money vs time (aka money). Software freedom is not the s

I will say my takeaway from this story is manufacturers screwing over their users to make more money isn't a "you are too small to fight back problem" but unmitigated greed.

Effective tax rate is not the same as total receipts and talking about total receipts when discussing insufficient taxation of the wealthy is falling into the "all taxes are paid by the poor indirectly" trap.

You could say the same about the post above it. Why is it different? Having safer defaults is fine, but why is there no way for alternatives to exist? (30% of all revenue is why BTW)

They made a ton of money not long ago. 30% in 2021 eye balling it. But all those factories have to be paid for no matter income. So if income goes down your profit margin goes to terrible.
