I see descriptions of how amazing the company is as being largely fluff. Every company thinks they're cool and amazing. Sort of like how every candidate thinks he/she is a 'great problem solver' and 'team player

I actually think the quote exonerates facebook. 3 million hours per year is a lot. There's always going to be something objectionable, even if we could agree on what constitutes objectionable. Facebook is getting pulled in different di

IMO the solution is simple: if you give an exception, everyone gets it. You don't need to prove your beliefs are bona-fide. That's just not something we want employers or the courts getting involved in.

The Satanists are a perfect poison pill to overbroad exemptions. They have all ready staged a figurative middle finger to religious carve-outs with their 10 commandments protest (disguised as a Moloch statue, of course). 'Oh, I thought

I think it's okay to mention the effect Amazon is having without blaming them. Ultimately online person-to-person trading is making fencing items easier and the people buying probably don't know they are purchasing stolen items. A

Well I agree. It is the misrepresentation that gets them in trouble. The reason I bring it up is that it's a good test of what will happen if we do legalise drugs. So the claim is that there were a bunch of so-called pain clinics, bu

The media has lied about opiods. Most people who take opiods do not get addicted. And most people who are addicted did not start with a legitimate prescription--they started using it as an illicit drug.

So when we legalize all drugs because 'the drug war isn't working' (something I agree with) who do we sue then? I just think the public is overly reactive to whatever problem is at hand. When the drugs are causing crime we wa

I dont see it working any differently than piracy. If people can hack the bytecode to appear as though the game has received a valid key, I dont see why they cannot do the same for these restrictions.
