This is my position although instinctively I’d want to require the ability for a person to sit because I haven’t considered windsurfers or kite-boards to be boats.

We had a rather average amount of turnover which might be high considering the concerns about the economy. I think one possible contributor is that more remote roles are available.

That seems like a great leading indicator. For a while I’d follow a few levels of real estate but the activity has seemed pretty strange and not very aligned to many other trends. I think the very large apartment companies using fancy sta

I’m aware of a business owner that was given 200k and said that they easily could’ve gotten more. They had to ask for it quickly so it wasn’t quite “stuffed” into their pockets but the impression I get is that the larger businesses had an

For me there was a sense of adventure going to the mall because the products would change unpredictably. It was like a living art piece that served great food and could lead to unexpected purchases. It was also fun in the pre-internet era

I think the difference is that the mainframe isn’t going anywhere and the large companies themselves have been thriving and will likely continue to do so. My employer has a number of them and they work great although it’s challenging to fi

I forget the exact specs but it had close to 200 cores and a team of highly paid dbas that had optimized every aspect. Even the worst of queries would come back instantly.

The only time i kind of liked their products was when the corporation spent 1.5 million on the fastest database I’ve ever seen.

It’s very concerning that the responses on this issue are so timid. I think for individual corporations to reroute takes a bit of effort but that it would be possible for groups of corporations to do this with guidance from the government.

I’d say a better measure is whether the person can currently handle most of what will be asked and how quickly they can get up to speed on new things. It’s easier to figure out and more useful for the company. It also de-prioritizes those
