The most useful link on HN of the year has already been posted. Those labels are baffling.

No you're simply wrong. Plenty of smart people have a sense of loyalty and want to do what's best for the company and their colleagues, not just what's expedient for themselves.

People keep repeating this but it's really pretty silly. When people say they work 8 hours they don't mean they are 100% focused on doing revolutionary innovative work for 8 hours. Not all work is like factory work where you can d

The accent is on the initial o, why would you stress the second syllable? (1) And why would Greek MI be pronounced MY? That’s a very English specific pronunciation of I. It definitely wasn’t a diphthong in Greek. What is even your point? No

Wouldn't it be more accurate to say that Neil Young removed his music from Spotify? After failing to blackmail them, sure, but he did the removing himself. I love his music and never listened to Rogan, but this just seems like an attem

But aren't we talking about single family houses here, with a garden? If you have room for a garage in your garden, surely you have room for a car without a garage?

Why? I mean most pre-schoolers probably play with rebuses, simple crosswords etc. It's just a common concept in the world that most people have come across. Unlike say an obscure linguistic term like nisba.

It was just a random google result, but we definitely did rebuses in pre-school at least. The rebus concept is actually a precursor to actual writing, historically speaking. Both in Mesopotamia/Egypt and in the Chinese civilisation, wr

As many have mentioned, it seems much more efficient to focus on eliminating letters, which means that the second word should not be very green at all. Also, since there's only one word a day, I think we can assume that it's chose

I wouldn't call 400-500k a significant runway, but it should have some effect, since you can put of fund raising for at least a few months, maybe even 2 years if you're frugal. At that time you are hopefully further along.
