Seems to me like the virus will spread with or without any tweets. Twitter would like to think it has enough influence to affect it in any way, but that's simply not the case. Only 10% of Americans read Twitter at all, and the percenta

Have they fixed the mis-feature where having an unfinished message in a chat causes it to be inconspicuously moved in a separate "drafts" section where it stays, away from human eyes and forgotten?

It's unfortunate that it's easier to deploy the latest nuclear technologies on battlefield than in civilian use. Maybe this will change once they are (literally) battle-tested.

You're assuming that none of them would die if you keep bars and restaurants closed. There's no indication that this measure is effective at all.

MERS evolved to spread in camels, SARS evolved to spread in bats. Their preferred climate would obviously be different.

Ironically making people more aware of climate change causes people to vote for candidates who are objectively terrible for climate change (see: anti-nuclear Green party in Germany, Bernie Sanders etc.)

South Korea already has huge experience with SARS and MERS. Most other countries don't, so "true fatality rate" would be higher. The demographics(age distribution) is also different in other countries.

How about evolutionary growth model: - severe cases are quarantined - mild cases keep spreading - evolutionary pressure causes the virus to become less deadly - deadliness drops to flu levels at which point it stops being actively tracked

There's no practical reason to limit autonomous vehicles to human-visible signals. The point is to make a car that drives safer than a human. Since we can't make a car that's smarter than a human, we can at least even the odd

Influenza does, and the mechanism of spread is similar. Curiously there's still no definitive accepted theory on the seasonality of influenza.

Touching a virus doesn't guarantee you being infected. It can't penetrate skin. Inhaling a droplet of saliva that somebody coughed up is much worse.

The number of cases per people statistic is silly. It might make sense when the virus is common around the world, but when it's just spreading the number of cases itself is more important. For example if you detected 100 people infecte

The virus seems to be spreading much slower in Japan than in Korea or Italy. Despite having infections quite early, the number of cases is still surprisingly low, with linear growth instead of exponential. Maybe some cultural factors like s
