Back when we didn't have good hygiene, we had Spanish Flu and Black Plague. It's hard to imagine such massive outbreaks these days in developed countries.

Except Hachiko exit is nearly impossible to find because Shibuya station is so labyrinthine. Once I followed the signs to it and ended up in a large hall with signs pointing in 4 directions, neither of which mentioning Hachiko exit.

Japanese logos tend to be quite "timeless", mostly because they're so minimalist (think Mitsubishi logo). Even towns and prefectures have very simple emblems instead of a complicated coat of arms. https://commons.w

Except the list doesn't show more than 200 tweets (unless there's some trick to avoid this). If there's a sudden spike of activity, or you check it only once a week, it's easy to miss something important.

I'm not American so I don't really support any candidate. I have my own preferences, and neither is Yang my preferred candidate, nor is Bernie my most disliked candidate.

Looks close to UPS van color. Ugliness is subjective, some people might like it, especially those who would use tobacco products in the first place.

People always bring up Japan when describing how nice public transportation is, but almost all "public transport" is privatised over there. Meanwhile everyone's complaining about municipal transport in the USA.

Just because a service exists doesn't mean the same service can exist and be financially viable for every employee. There are many businesses that are inherently unprofitable. It can be argued that such businesses should be subsidized

A train has less seats per door than a plane. Way less seats. It can also start moving before people have fully finished boarding (e.g. storing their luggage in overhead compartment).
