I recently picked up a Motorola LapDock from eBay. It was originally used as a keyboard, trackpad, and screen in a laptop format for the Atrix smartphone, but with some converter cables, you can plug into any machine with HDMI and USB and u

Of all the examples you could have chosen you picked tar? The program with such an obtuse command interface it has its own xkcd comic?

I grew up in what would be called a progressive part of the US and was never taught about it. I felt angry and supremely let down by our education system that I only found out about this last week.

I see your point but Minecraft didn't get usurped in popularity by a game that ripped off it's core gameplay loop. As another commenter mentioned, I did forget about DayZ, so maybe Battle Royale wasn't an entirely original co

This is why I felt bad for the PUBG devs, who seemed to have successfully pushed the Battle Royale genre with a game that wasn't perfect but that they put a lot of effort into, only to be outsold in days by Fortnite upon its release.

NetBSD was my favorite OS to run on a Raspberry Pi. Raspbian (at least back in the RPi 2 days) felt like a stripped down Debian squeezed into something that can run on the Pi, while NetBSD seemed to feel right at home. Not very scientific o

Not on many (most?) Android phones. Samsung, Motorola, and LG devices still require many hoops to jump through if it's possible at all. Not all manufacturers are as open to rooting as OnePlus.
