I hard disagree with you. Individualism is not the root of our failing infrastructure.

Actually put money into expanded infrastructure and staffing of public transport instead of funneling it into someone's pocket. Regularly patrol the cars. Open more shelter for the homeless and institute better mental health policies.

I know people love public transport because of the supposed larger benefit to society but having ridden NYC public transport for over 7 years now I absolutely loath it. The experience is horrible almost every day. Between being crammed in t

Like maybe it's not clear but google turns around and uses your information in search for ad targeting as well. You don't just improve search which would be largely innocuous but that's not their business.

I don't disagree that personalization is important, I disagree with the methods Google employs to collect that data and then that they also use it against the user on the advertising side. So yeah, Google does well by trampling all ove

I don't generally just browse apps so like if you know what you're looking for and go to it it's the same as if you searched an exact name on the apple one -- but if you're just browsing around it's got a lot of low

Turn off all the data collection in Google and personalization from it and compare the results. They go down in quality considerably in my experience. Even with those features on I find constantly outdated information these days. Yup that a

I think NYU should push them on this. Another high profile case protecting scraping would be great. Also in this case proud to be an NYU alum, great response from the researchers.

Well if you look at the Sherman antitrust act I imagine the answer is whenever the scale and influence starts to touch on things that act says is a no go. Obviously that's a bit over simplistic but probably a good place to start.

Hey we do too at Whize, surely you've seen sites that give special privilege to Google and or lock the sitemap away. While I don't know if I'd say "hostility" I would say passive aggressive to other crawlers.
