Agreed. I used to think that I didn't like VS because I also didn't like .NET. I still don't like .NET, but after using other IDE's for other languages (primarily Jetbrains' products) I have grown to dislike it even more. It feels like t

I really, really love Jetbrains. Even though I'm not an iOS developer, it's still nice to see that they are working to add their own flavor to the mix with other languages. I wish so much that they would create a Visual Studio replacement.

I use Chrome because it is an absolutely excellent browser. It gets a lot of things right that others do not, and it is (mostly) open source. Since you brought up television companies controlling DVR's, I will make an attempt to extend upo

Love the design! While I think there is quite a ways to go, I will most certainly give BankSimple a shot when it is publicly released. Upon seeing the video though, specifically when he was searching through for the bar that he went to, I

And as a bit of a smaller complaint, no notification LED. I still don't quite know what they were thinking when they decided to leave that off.

Top Gear had an excellent several-part episode which illustrated just how ridiculously well built these things are. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xnWKz7Cthkk

After using Google Music on my Android, and the rest of Android's excellent syncing capabilities, I don't think I could ever use an iPhone in its current state simply because syncing with iTunes is an absolute burden. To elaborate, I heard

Very interesting talk -- I think. Too bad I don't know how it ended because as the email input prompt appeared I closed the window immediately.

I can see this being very nice for tablets, which was demonstrated, but I'm far more curious to see what kind of innovations they throw into a standard desktop version.

Is this an OSX only issue? Just tried this on my Windows 7 box using version 13.0.772.0 and everything looks good to me.

I thank the Diaspora community so much for creating such a large-scale open source Rails application. Coming from years of PHP experience, I had such a hard time learning and getting used to Rails, but digging through the Diaspora reposito

I'm all for competition, but how do they come across saying that Git is complex while Fossil is intuitive? Is it possible to still be intuitive while still being a "complex" system? I'm not exactly a Git master, but I have had absolutely n

Woah. Just installed this and I'm getting that giddy feeling a web developer rarely feels when doing CSS editing. This is a godsend! Thanks :D

Very sad news. As I've posted here before, I own a Zune and love it. The Zune software on Windows is terrific and I use it instead of Winamp/WMP/Foobar/etc by choice. Hopefully they open-source it so the community can keep it alive.

The Wire (while being an incredible show) definitely hurt Baltimore in terms of its reputation. There are some fantastic areas around, and the culture is very inspiring.

This is great news! As a Baltimorean I am extremely excited to see something this ambitious come to the East Coast, and better yet my neck of the woods. I will most definitely be making an effort to participate in this. Great job, Mike.

This is pretty exciting except for the fact that lately Youtube has been insanely slow loading anything above 320p quality, if not impossible to watch. They're going to need to step up in terms of speed for this to work correctly.

In regards to the client software, I must say that iTunes is an absolutely atrocious piece of software (at least on Windows). I think the Zune app really got it right for managing large amounts of music in a simple-to-use interface. It rea

I've owned two pairs of the Sony MDR-150's over the span of the last 3 years now, and I must say, for $15 you really cant go wrong with them. I use them at work and I can't complain. I usually get ear pain after about an hour or so of use

While I disagree about your arguments against jQuery UI (I actually quite like it as a whole, and the CSS arragenment doesn't bother me at all), I wholeheartedly agree about jqGrid. What a terribly bloated plugin. I have no idea how it go
