So my question is why was the article written? You just described a systemic issue with SV companies replacing FTE with contractors, then ask why someone would write an article about that? How many companies should the article have includ

The problem is finding a physio that's worth a shit. I've dealt with serious injuries and complications (and recovered) over many years and I can tell you that most of the physios, chiros, trainers, and acupuncturists are no more

Why are we acting like this is a bad thing? Is your argument that there are no downsides to a shrinking population? I'm not so sure the evidence would support such a stance.

It’s, uh, really not that bad. I rarely notice banner ads and the like. If a particular site gets really egrigious, I leave the site. Yeah, I never understood why people purposefully visit sites full of ads and then complain that the site

You seem so unsure about your own point that you immediately downplay a users concerns about spending $250 a year by reducing that number to $5. Why the need to fabricate a theoretical number when someone provided you with a specific value?

What stops you from using Slack for one-on-one conversations? I am remote and I would say at least 80% of my time in Slack is spent in conversations with one, maybe two, people.

That can be cathartic, but normalizing hostility towards users will ultimately hurt both you and your project. Does it? In ways that are worse than what the devs are dealing with as mentioned in the OP? That sounds like a pretty big assum

I understand the mechanics, but from a usability perspective it makes no sense that you can uninstall the interface of the OS you are using just by uninstalling a language dependency.

I was playing around with different versions and at one point uninstalled 2 and 3 in an attempt to fix something funky I was seeing. Apparently that was a bad idea, as removing Python also removed the Ubuntu desktop, so when I rebooted I wa

I mean, if one of your requirements for a laptop is that "It has to run macOS." then worrying about touchbars/keyboards/etc is mostly pointless since you have to buy whatever Apple is offering.
