I had a CPAP machine on the NHS a few years back. The machine was OK, a low-mid range model. But they supplied everyone with a "medium" size of mask, so I had to buy a bigger mask myself. I'd say the quality of care I got w

I loved Meccano as a boy, and bought some for my son last Christmas - what a huge disappointment! As you said, it's plastic now instead of metal, and not even good quality plastic. It flexes too much, and soon showed white stress marks

It's a great site, but I find myself using it less and less these days, as since fairly recently (6-12 months ago maybe?) they've started locking more and more behind a pay wall.

And, as humans, we don't only get "tokens" from what we read, but from our entire sensorium.

How are they aesthetically? Like, are they glued raw to the wall, or have you used some kind of covering?

15W should approximate a 100W incandescent bulb - but IME it's hard to find 15W LEDs that do; I've tried several (at a variety of price points), and none were as bright as the 100W.

I get what you are saying, but I gave little sympathy for their situation - they used the VC tactic of "give it away to gain and monopolise the market, then do the old switcheroo once we're #1", so they had to know what was c

That would be awesome. I was just thinking yesterday that AAA game graphics aren't really materially better than they were a decade ago. OK, ray tracing is starting to become a thing, but it's in it's infancy, and only remote

I'd like to buy Kia or Hyundai, but personally I find the interiors both look and feel "cheap", even on the high-end models like the Kia Stinger. Interiors from BMW, Mercedes, Audi and Volvo look and feel so much more luxurio

Lungs are delightful in haggis, and I'm rather partial to kidneys in a steak pie. I've had brains in Asia plenty times, and they are actually quite tasty - but I stopped eating them when I learned of prions. I've tried chicke

The benefit of nuclear powered ships/submarines is that they can operate for a very long time without refueling - despite being extremely expensive, that can be a tradeoff the planners are willing to make.

I don't have a use for this, but I enjoyed the detailed write-up! In these days of fast SSDs, are there still uses for a RAM disk, beyond extreme niches?

Yes, llama.exe is actually the name the project produces - the other poster must have renamed it to main.exe. I just did `scoop install cmake`, then built from the command line, was a doddle!

So, I actually got it working on Windows, pretty easily! The provided `main.exe` binary worked as-is, but `quantize.exe` did not - I built myself with CMake, and `quantize.exe` started working too.
