It sounds like you're chiding others for complaining about the bill, and excusing this because the bill "only" enables mass surveillance and anti-privacy measures, rather than stipulating them. Might be I'm reading you

I really like the idea of foldable phones - smaller in my pocket or when I'm just checking a notification or whatever, but I can double the size of the display when wanted. Being able to balance on a surface for taking group shots is a

Didn't David Nutt suggest this several years back? I seem to recall hearing he was really trying to make a go of it too.

Only if it's 100% pure heroin. If it's typical street-level purity, it's more like 300 doses. Either way, these seem categorically like personal use quantities to me.

For 30g of heroin? On what planet is 30g considered "trafficking"?

Wow, that really does make it sound like a potentially world-rocking discovery! (if it turns out to actually work in reality, of course).

I see lots of comments saying this is a huge deal if true. Can I ask... well, why? What can we do/make with this?

Attestation can have value in a corporate network, ensuring only patched company laptops can connect to certain services, for example. But software already exists to do this kind of thing for private networks. I really, strongly believe t

I just wanted to second the GP's point on pricing - like them, "call me pricing" is a hard no from me. IMO it's fine for the highest tier (Enterprise or whatever), but lower tiers should have fixed and public pricing.

As a counterpoint: I've worked with both Azure cloud and Azure DevOps (or whatever the feck they call it now) for a long time (maybe 10 years?), a lot in a corporate setting, but also for my startup. Apart from the same price issues th

What would you think is the minimum age to do these kind of basic IoT tasks would be? Looking forward to doing this stuff with my son at some point, but he's only 6 :)

I used Azure TTS for a product demo voice-over recently, and nobody I showed it to knew it wasn't a human doing it! Some of Azure's voices are better than others, and the TTS web app has a few minor bugs, but overall I was really

The point would be standardisation - you set preferences once in your browser, rather than on several sites in several different ways. FWIW, I too do not want to be tracked, and so I use an ad blocker etc. I'm thinking more along the l

Was this a long time ago, or for a totally empty niche? I ask, because I'm lucky if I can buy a single click through for $5, and it's been like that for several years now.

I actually think something like the Topics API could work - but with some pretty big changes. Firstly, it's a "hell no" from me on my browser recording what I'm doing and insinuating my interests. At the very least, I&#x
