If you are stressed at work just leave. No amount of tricks will make you feel better in a toxic enviroment. Also, why would you help a toxic company by staying, when you could help another company that respects people. Because people stay

I agree with you. The question then becomes: if you achieved this level of performance, isn't it better to work for yourself rather than work for somebody who all the time undervalues your performance? Isn't it better in the long

First time that I read a comment that reminds everybody that this is only one side of the story. Do you make the same comment on all stories? and if not, why not?

That's exactly the point: exclude those people. The idea is not to have everybody pass the test.

Ask questions that a 5th grader could answer. The level does not hove too be that high for it to be effective. Or... just ask science questions: "Is planet Earth flat?".

Why not use this to fund open source? Have a checkbox to disable ads if you really want to give people freedom. I just can't see how open source can compete without enough funds.

Easy. If the person can do an engineer's work they will be kept as an engineer. If they can't, an alternative role will be searched for them, for example a manager role. It's all about keeping the people you have and finding

In my country they are banned on highways, national roads, cities. I was referring to that. I think banning them on congested roads will increase the demand for public transport which is what we should have on those road anyway.

I've seen some pretty technical things done by some french developers, so for sure they have the talent. Why there are no noticeable companies coming out of France then? I just think the same, they are killing it with bureaucracy.
