I would imagine he's talking about NuGet. Unless I've missed something dramatic in the past half year in the .net ecosystem.

I've always been curious about how most sites like these are made because they've used it well. Unfortunately, this was not one of them. It should have been a video because then it would of had more interesting transitions.

Except that they do have power even if you ignore them. I don't think anyone can argue that environment is not vital to a persons's development. The government, NSA, piracy, patent trolls, etc. all happen to be a part of the envir

Isn't this trend of things being on OS X rather than linux helped by things being ported from iOS back to OS X as well? I've noticed a lot of games on the Mac App Store that happen to be on the iOS App Store.

Look at the stuff Parallels has been doing with getting direct X running Virtualized in OS X. It's definitely possible to do. Heck, if it was possible to run OS X on custom hardware and have drivers that supported SLI, it would run res

I think it has to do with retina display support in the Oracle JRE 7. I remember searching for retina display stuff in JDKs and saw a post from the people from JetBrains post differences between the JDK 6 from Apple and JDK 7 from Oracle. I

Haha yeah. I agree with you totally, however sometimes when the problem is a bug in another system and everything still seems completely rational this kind of knowledge is gold. My story was a C# WPF application and certain events were not

The main argument I've seen to use something in the Node ecosystem over make is that it works on windows machines. With Microsoft building support for Node into IIS it's something to consider. Personally the thing I would consider

Probably makes it worse. If you tell people the currency doesn't leave a paper trail then they'll worry about people scamming them or screwing them over in some way, shape, or form.

One could argue that Ghengis Khan had to owe a part of his success to the culture he grew up in and the ability to use combined arms. We do have a way of rewarding innovators: patents and copyrights. Now, those systems have been abused from

This is basically why I bought an Apple TV for my parents. There's a good chance if a video loads on an apple device that it can be streamed to an Apple TV. They were watching videos all the time on iPads and the TV in the living room

I wonder what the genius bar lines would be like if Apple products were a lot more open and allowed for that kind of customizability. There's probably some correlation between simple(r) products and good customer service.

That's part of the allure of people championing state's rights as opposed to doing things on the federal level. Unfortunately I don't know of too many historical examples of power becoming decentralized.

I'll just throw in my two cents: It seems pretty simple from my point of view. People switch between companies that win bids and contracts. Those companies now need to staff and they staff with the people from the companies that lost b

Eh we hit a bug here with WCF discovery when we had the machines run 4.0 code and had 4.5 installed. I think the official fix has been out, but man did it cause some headaches.

The process of learning to TDD well makes a person code better, regardless of actually doing it. TDD is one of the few actual disciplines I know of around coding that can't be just glossed over or faked. One either does or does not. This is
