To be honest, the average C++ programmer should not be bothered with any of the concurrency stuff. The chance that you get it wrong and introduce subtle concurrency bugs that will obviously only show up in production environments is simply

They shouldn't be able to do so but even if they could they wouldn't do it. It'd show that the claims they make on the security of their product are invalid.

I can imagine that you'd run into all kinds of legal issues when you use the address of some unknowing stranger as your own for whatever, probably not the most trustworthy, purpose. Would not use.

Do any solutions for the automatic management/setup of a large cluster of node + arm already exist? Managing a few, yet powerful servers is already tricky - it can only get worse when dealing with loads of low-power servers when you do

Considering that had the opportunity to completely customize Hack but stayed rather close to PHP, does anyone else find it weird that they are already trying to move on from the Hack semantics by auto-generating the code? Wouldn't it h

A task/context switch involves dumping the entire contents of the registers and caches, loading the new values and resuming execution of the other task. It most likely messes up your pipeline - it's several orders of magnitude

The framework allows for partial data updates - for instance for a 3D renderer it suffices the push the new position to the GPU whilst the vertex data remains in GPU memory. If you invoke the kernel function again it will not recompile the

I added the GPLv3 licence [1]: I didn't think it'd get this much attention to be honest and therefore the licensing didn't cross my mind. [1] https://github.com/Gladdy/EasyOpenCL/commit/da59775e

CUDA has a nice toolchain, but the point of this is to remove all of the low-level stuff. For performance (even on NVIDIA cards) it doesn't really matter whether you use CUDA or OpenCL [1] + OpenCL runs everywhere as a bonus. [1] http

What would be your use case? Apart from this being a nice feat of technology and the possibility of loading the data asynchronously, in what scenario would it be practical to present 1K+ rows of data to a user? It's infeasible or at le

I wonder how this will compare to Intels 3D NAND flash chips ( http://www.ipwatchdog.com/2015/08/12/intel-micron-develop-3d... ). Some competition on similar technologies is never wrong!
