He makes some good points, but you don't necessarily have to ask before editing open source docs. For example, if they're publishing in a wiki you can pretty much assume its ok to jump right in and start editing.

I like the article's emphasis on developing neural connections but I'm a little mystified about this "Cuban system" that is supposedly leading the way. All we learn from the article is that Cuban schools have sports directors, music directo

What keeps you from holding your hands in alignment is your torso. It's physically impossible to have your hands square to the keys and yet keep the natural and relaxed line from your elbow to fingertips. The only way to do it would be to s

I wrote "Experience delivering quality work on time" I didn't write "has a resume that only proves he showed for work for x number of years".

Good luck figuring out from a programming test whether someone is actually going to add value (rather than just be good at solving tests). Experience delivering quality work on time is a reasonable predictor of future success.

Hey, that sounds like a good idea all round! It will also let experienced programmers know that they shouldn't bother applying to your shop (where their experience is not going to be recognized and valued).

In fact, Drupal founder Dries Buytaert has a side-project called Mollom for eliminating comment spam. And of course it integrates very nicely with Drupal. Sounds to me like whoever they hired to do the site didn't have much of a clue.
