I feel like there is some selection bias there - you certainly aren't going to be interviewing very many people who are happy with their current job at Amazon.

But even if the state and city come out ahead, they could have benefited even more if cities weren't allowed to compete for these types of contracts - without these tax breaks, Amazon would still have to build a headquarters, and a sim

I think the difference is that it isn't a person bidding on the Amazon HQ, it is a city, and IMO, cities in the same country shouldn't be competing with eachother for business. Amazon has to put a headquarters somewhere in the US,

It seems counterproductive to attack the transportation infrastructure for oil, rather than the users or producers of oil. Would the "pipeline vandals" rather oil be transported by truck or train? I'm pretty sure the numbers

I agree that the President as the right to move on to the next question, I was more wondering why people seemed to be focusing on this "confrontation" when, to me, it seemed like nothing of consequence actually happened. It just d

Why is this even being talked about? The intern grabbed the microphone, he pushed her arm out of the way, it doesn't really seem like a big issue at all. Even in the gif it looks pretty minor.

There are much easier ways of finding out whether or not someone is home than looking up if they are going to be voting. Just find out if everyone living there has a 9-5 job, for example.

I think the biggest issue is that the whole process of getting on the bus is terrible. I took a Greyhound from New York, and it was just a disorganized mess the entire time. I waited in a line for over something like 45 minutes to get my lu

Couldn't you use JWT's with both an access token and a refresh token? The access token can have a fairly short expiry time, after which you hit the auth service with the refresh token, at which point you can handle any token inval

I have the same issue with button resizing on my 4k monitor, I think it would work better if just the button resized, not the text, since the spacing between the letters bounces around when the text resizes.

I meant more that you don't feel like you are suffocating when you are inhaling helium, so it can be hard to realize something is going wrong until it is too late. Definitely easier to suffocate with heavier-than-air gasses though.

Isn't that just reductio ad absurdum? Of course Nickelodeon shouldn't be run by kids, but there can be a benefit to having leadership that can empathize and understand your customer base better.

You disagree with the claim that most people don't change homes very often? The average time someone owns the same home is over 5 years. I mean I get the argument that, if you loose your job and sell your house it would be bad. But for

Google already has an office in Kitchener/Waterloo (which they are expanding, afaik), and Toronto, so I don't think they would want to build an office in Hamilton, since it is pretty much right in the middle of those two offices.

I feel like the number of tech people who legitimately worry about their spouse being deported is extremely small. And it's only two years until the next election anyways.
