Trump didn't exactly follow Fauci's advice, so it's odd that you'd blame Fauci's "method of approaching pandemics" for "this mess." Was there some other, better, established method?

If your company has more than one office, they each have their own culture, which hews more or less closely to the cultural commonalities between offices. Shared values, communication norms, peer reactions, shared history, and inside jokes

Yes, they put up fences to funnel animals. There are indeed measures for how effective they are. It sounds like you're bothered that this article for popular consumption isn't an entirely different piece about the same topic.

Yeah, if I owned a condo you'd bet I'd want an HOA. It's one thing when everyone owns their own roof and yard, but quite another when it's a single building that multiple owners are sharing.

The problem is that the first thing might be callable, and it might expect one or more arguments that could include functions. If your intention was to add something to the result of a function, but + was passed as input to that function,

What if it was rephrased as an indefinite sentence, but a minimum of 21 years? (If the law doesn't permit a longer minimum, then 21 years is the "maximum sentence" in that there cannot be a longer mandatory period imposed.)

Some of the examples in the list seem dubious to me. Absent? Cushion? Recap? I don't think I've ever heard the stress on the latter syllable even when used as a verb.

Why would they need an argument? Politics isn't about who has the better argument. It's just that no one in those states has (so far) had the skill, energy, and resources to organize political change on the issue.

Well that kind of depends on the actual testimony, doesn't it? Here, the defendant was neighbors with the victim, and the witnesses were other neighbors . So there's not much reason to doubt their identification, at least.

But the other side of that is that potential targets of harassment can't bring all of their experiences to the table. Many people who didn't experience harassment still had to self-censor to avoid attention.
