I really hope banks get disrupted from the bottom (as you're mentioning with N26), and yes, I've worked for a Fortune 500 financial group that was a huge mess (they had entire buildings of software developers, but their software w

I'm almost in my 40s and I was overjoyed when my company offered me the chance to travel for work. Not everyone can afford traveling (I agree that's not as much true in the U.S.). And staying in fancy hotels is cool. Once you have

Very interesting. I used to work on a huge Forte4GL program (think in the million lines of code range) and we thought about using traspilers (even had some quotes). But it was the same old bad code, traspiled. We looked for better solutions

Network effect is one for sure. I'm not a fan of the redesign (and submitted my thoughts several times), but the content is there, and it's a reasonable platform overall.

One pretty good barrier that Apple has built and defends well is the phone as a status symbol and object of desire. But, as a phone, I think low end disruptors are here, and I can't understand why people would pay 3 or 4 times as much

I also wonder. I play Hearthstone on my phone, and I plan on playing other resource-intensive (or poorly programmed) Unity games (Magic Arena when it goes out). I do know of people that play Fortnite, but they have to be in the minority...

Yeah, and none of those options work as well as the camera button in the old Nokias (I was a happy Nokia user as well, but they missed the boat with their software, even though their hardware was top notch)

Both Apple and Samsung are going to get their lunch eaten by Xiaomi, Huawei and the rest I guess, then. I'm eagerly awaiting the Pocophone F1 release here in Uruguay.

UI performance in Androids is decent these days. Privacy, well... no. Even within the Android ecosystem, it's very sad that innovation is stymied. The only ones that even try are LG and they always fall flat. There's a long list o

Time for disruption again, I guess... but it'll be very hard to beat Amazon/Ebay. I have an idea for some niches, it'll probably be implemented by the major players after it's been validated though.

That question is not very useful... I've had phones that lasted weeks / months (the old Nokias), but they basically only did calling and maybe SMS. In the last decade, I've owned several phones that passed the 2 day mark. I c
