This mechanism is completely broken considering medical care in the US is ridiculously expensive. The hospital should be held responsible financially for the patient until she dies or their mistake gets fixed. No lawsuit just a simple if yo

Haven't we solved the quality issue in other situations by giving users the ability to rate a scientific paper. What's wrong with giving other researchers the ability to rate and comment on a paper. It's a not a perfect filte

It's times like this that prove I made the right choice sticking to Linux. There's nothing I hate more than the inability to fix things that are broken on my system or the fact that I would have to jump trough a lot of unnecessary

Taking that a step further imagine if the architects of iconic buildings like the Burj Al Arab etc would start requiring people to ask permission before posting photos of it on the internet or using it in maps.

The prices pharma companies ask for is ridiculous and makes the drug unavailable to 90% of the people that need it. if they priced their drug to make it more accessible they could easily make the development cost back by making money off th

The US public transportation system is severely lacking so there needs to be a very high incentive for people to take it or a disincentive to take the car. Public transportation is by design more inconvenient than taking the car because you

As someone who grew up in a small city where pretty much everyone was white I would have to disagree. Large cities are no place to rise children they are cramped, expensive and highly polluted the kids may get exposed to a higher diversity
