that sucks :( I remember going to the UK on a business trip in 2007 and we went to see a movie and all of the trailers that showed for "upcoming" films were all for films I had already seen. That's just terrible. They should really make it

I've noticed some other movies doing the same, for example Looper (great sci-fi movie btw) was on Google Play roughly a week or so before it was on DVD. Now if only they would offer them DRM free, then we'd be getting somewhere...

Yeah, I think they gotta do more than that though. Go straight up like Jimmy Wales and just say we need X dollars, if you want reddit to stay up. Maybe give reddit gold as a bonus to everyone who donates. The biggest problem with Reddit Gol

What they should do is do it the same as Wikipedia. I'm not sure what Reddit's costs are like, but if they did a donation drive where it was a choice of donating or more ads, I bet the community would chip in.

Blockbuster didn't really get trounced by online sales though, it was more they didn't adapt their business model to account for the convenience and cost savings of services like netflix. Blockbuster is more a victim of poor management than

I think the point jetti is trying to make though is not that Flash isn't dead as a platform, it clearly is for mobile. The point is that it may be dead for new projects, but there are still millions of existing ones that use it. So, if you

I think the biggest detriment to the adoption of these mobile payment platforms is going to be trust. There is no way I'd trust a platform like the Isis one that was mentioned in the article to act as my mobile middle man for transactions.

I wonder how these new plans will affect existing users. My plan falls directly between two of these simplified plans. The prices seem the same still, so it would cost me $15 more a month to increase to closest new package.

I liked the social network for what it was, a story of mostly fiction. Wasn't the majority of its faults, however, a result of the source material and not Sorkin?

Yeah, in my experience with it, I think the biggest problem was if you were "maxed" out. Taking my example again, say you were Software Consultant Level 3, but there was no Level 4. At that point, the person either just accepts it (and mayb

I find a lot of government and academic work operates in the way you described. A lot of times, the job titles are known and have a pay rate or pay scale associated with them. Everyone knows, for example, that a software consultant level 3

Yeah, it's such a terrible limitation too when all you need to do is remove the variable, and it goes back to normal. I wonder how many customers that inconvenience actually gets for the NYT?

There's nothing wrong with it, other than that fact that you have no choice in that case but to take Google's word for it on the lowest price. Maybe there are other sites out there that do a better job finding low price headphones but you'l

I agree with everything you said, but I don't think the article is blaming the internet for anything or even arguing that it was anyone's fault but the artist (and her management). It's mostly just the author pointing out how remarkable it

Well, I guess that depends on "best of the year" definition. In the article, the author is arguing it's best as in quality of the music, not best as in number of units sold... It's obviously just his opinion though...

Very true. I do think in some circumstances it's valid for the consumer to take on the risk. There are a lot of fan projects out there where, from a profit perspective, it just doesn't make sense for a large backer to take a risk bringing
