That thought did occur to me -- but it seems like that could be better achieved simply by reconfiguring your AP as opposed to introducing a new device entirely.

They seem to contradict their own statement of purpose in their FAQ. First, they imply that the primary use would be for your own wireless network: > "It is perfectly legal to block any device you choose from a wireless network you

That line bothered me, since the total number of pixels is only slightly over half the pixels of a 2005-era 1024*768 display. The only difference is that the Alto used a portrait-oriented display, which never caught on.

It's unfortunate that HDR mode in Google Camera remains unavailable for phones other than the Nexus 5 & 6 -- I have a Moto X, and the app is really only useful for photospheres, since normal photos tend look awful without HDR. Has

I still find it astounding that high-ranking execs at Amazon could have thought that this product had even the slightest chance of being successful. If the Kindle Fire tablets had all cost the same price as an iPad, I seriously doubt they w

Interesting discussion! I would have liked it if the author had provided some background information (for the uninitiated) about some of the other related issues mentioned. For example, what was meant by "the horrors of PulseAudio&quo

Sounds like they're making some great progress on the new web exporter! I'm using Unity for a project now, and while a web version of the game requiring a special plugin doesn't seem particularly compelling, one that could ru

The problem is, the acid is a vital component of the flavor. Try mixing water with sugar to see what I mean...it is sweet, but it's not particualy good. To make it taste better, the best approach is to add some acid (lemon juice natura

Exactly! I installed this on my original iPhone at one point, and it was a complete waste of time. Apple's goal is to ensure that old iDevices are 100% useless by refusing to update them, and this project does absolutely nothing to rec

My general take on it is: if you find yourself "fighting" the framework, then you probably shouldn't be using a framework. Many websites have a whole lot of overlap in terms of UI patterns (a nav bar, responsive grids, etc).

I love this idea! I've wanted to get into MacVIM but I am just too addicted to the file browser sidebar that Sublime and Atom have. I'll have to give this a shot.

Interesting! That is also a great example of how XUL tends to force the developers to re-invent the wheel every time the OS GUI elements change, causing Firefox to lag considerably behind Chrome and Safari's UIs.

Firefox on Windows is nice, but on the Mac the UI feels just slightly off, presumably thanks to the XUL layer. Until they finally ditch XUL and just start doing native UIs, I suspect they'll always be playing catch up in the "feel
