It‘s mostly an issue with the decision makers at lenovo. Were linux as widespread as a desktop os as windows, it would have happened to linux too.

to me all this end-to-end business sounds too much like marketing. As long as you have to use the clients provided by facebook, it doesn't matter that the chats are end-to-end encrypted. Facebook controls the clients and as such can do

true. on macos many of the QT and java apps that used to be the norm were a lot worse. clipped buttons, for example. or pseudo-aqua buttons that were not quite right, uncanny-valley style.
